Out of the appropriation, $550,000 the first year and $550,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to CodeVA for the development, marketing, and implementation of high-quality and effective computer science training and professional development activities for public school teachers throughout the Commonwealth for the purpose of improving the computer science literacy of all public school students in the Commonwealth using the Computer Science Standards of Learning for Virginia Public School, which were reviewed and endorsed by the Virginia Board of Education in November 2017. The provided funds may also be used to reimburse CodeVA for teacher training services rendered in 2018 including all cost associated with facilitating teacher training cohorts.

(This amendment, together with a companion amendment in Item 210, transfers $550,000 GF in each year from Item 210, paragraph S, and moves it to Item 135 as a direct pass-through where it was originally.)
