Explanation

(This amendment provides $10.0 million NGF the second year from the Commonwealth Opioid Abatement and Remediation Fund to the Jail-Based Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Transition Fund established by § 9.1-116.8, Code of Virginia, bringing the total deposit to $12.0 million NGF over the biennium. The funding will continue a program to support substance use screening, treatment, and re-entry programs in local and regional jails. The amendment also directs the Department to report annually on the use and impact of this grant program.)
