"Out of this appropriation, $2,288,225 from the general fund the first year shall be used to renovate the Army National Guard (ARNG) Readiness Center in Onancock, Virginia. The renovation design shall meet a minimum life standard of 50 years in accordance with the US Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Facilities Code (UFC 1-200-02)."
Explanation
(This amendment provides $2,288,225 general fund the first year for the Department of Military Affairs to renovate an existing but unoccupied Army National Guard Readiness Center in Onancock, Virginia. This renovation will support the restationing of a composite trucking company detachment and will include all utility services, information systems, fire detection and alarm systems, roads, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, parking areas, and related site improvements. Upon completion, this project will enable the relocation of existing Army National Guard resources for optimal location and benefit to impacted citizenry in the Eastern Shore area.)
