"C. Out of this appropriation, $5,000,000 from the general fund the second year shall be provided for a non-emergency transportation program for low-income individuals living in rural areas who are not eligible for Medicaid services and need transport to free clinics, federally qualified health centers, and local health departments for medical services."



Explanation

(This amendment provides $5.0 million from the general fund in fiscal year 2026 to the Department of Medical Assistance Services for non-emergency transportation of low-income patients traveling to free clinics, federally qualified health centers, and local health departments in rural localities.)
