Explanation

(This amendment adds funding and language for the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to increase and enhance the information provided for members, eligibility staff, and providers about the Medicaid Works program, including: producing new Medicaid Works outreach materials, hosting community education and training events, promoting the program through appropriate state social media, ad campaigns using traditional media, speaking at events hosted by organizations serving disabled and blind populations, and providing additional training to benefit program staff and Medicaid providers. This change would not require federal approval, and was a recommendation from the 2024 Recommendations to Improve Access to and Successful Utilization of the Medicaid Works Program report (attached).
