Explanation

(This amendment provides $80,500 GF in each year to support the museum to work with VITA to assess agency information technology needs and take necessary steps to improve and update its technology network infrastructure and other resources. The FCMV, is a 150- acre campus which includes 11 exhibits and five office/public buildings and receives over 80,000 visitors a year, 50% of which are K-12 school children. In an effort to address issues of emergency readiness and liability, the Museum is requesting funding for two-way radios, site-wide Wi-Fi, and a virtual server to backup documents off-site. This request also includes funding for five additional computers, additional email boxes for all staff for better communication across the same platform, and workplace collaboration for file sharing.)
