Explanation

(This amendment would provide an increase of $2.0 million GF the second year to support additional tourism destination marketing for the areas of the Commonwealth negatively impacted by a loss of tourism-related visitation resulting from a statewide early school start date (before Labor Day). Additional funding would be used for: (i) broadcast and cable advertising in markets with post-Labor Day starts that are top sources of out-of-state visitation; (ii) Hulu targeted top-rated downloads of television shows trending; (iii) streaming services (e.g., Music, Google, Amazon, Slacker); (iv) targeted digital display ads and online video targeting; and (v) targeted social media.)
