Explanation

(This amendment provides $200,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2020 in additional funding for Workers Compensation Premiums and the Line of Duty program to reflect the passage of House Bill 1706 of the 2019 General Assembly Session which includes post-traumatic stress disorder under the list of occupational diseases under presumption clause of the the Virginia Workers Compensation Act. This inclusion impacts these employees eligibility for benefits under the Line of Duty program as well as the Workers Compensation Act. The estimate in this amendment is a placeholder until a detailed fiscal impact statement is developed.)
