(This amendment reduces by $30 million the second year the non-general fund appropriation for the Department of Corrections, pursuant to the provisions of House Bill 1761. The Bill would prohibit the purchase of goods produced by Correctional Enterprises by any entity receiving any state funds, including non-profit organizations, state agencies, and local governments or political subdivisions. Instead, sale of goods from Correctional Enterprises would only be allowed on the open market. This is a placeholder amendment until a final fiscal impact statement for the bill is provided.)
