Explanation
(This amendment provides $517,791 the first year and $236,055 the second year from nongeneral funds and eight (8.00 FTE) positions to implement the provisions of Senate Bill 369 (Megan's Law), regarding access to information and community notification concerning violent sex offenders. This amendment provides funds for enhancements to the Department of State Police sex offender registry, an electronic notification system, and an internet site. This amendment is contingent upon final passage of Senate Bill 369, which also has an estimated revenue impact of $600,000 the first year and $525,000 the second year from Special Funds.)
