Explanation
(This amendment removes one general fund position and reduces the general fund appropriation for the Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Department by $45,678 the first year and $48,020 the second year. The funds were to help other agencies administer the Water Quality Improvement Fund grant program. A companion amendment transfers the savings to the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). DCR is designated by statute to manage nonpoint source pollution grants issued under the Water Quality Improvement Act. The Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Department does not have this statutory designation.)
