A. Out of the amounts included in Air Transportation Environmental and Community Affairs shall be paid to the Washington Airports Task Force from the special funds in this appropriation $375,000 the first year and $375,000 the second year. As a condition of this financial assistance, the Washington Airports Task Force shall provide to the Chairmen of the Senate Finance and House Appropriations Committees, not later than July 1, 1997, a report including the following information: salaries of all full-time Task Force staff; costs of all Task Force consulting or professional service contracts; Task Force staff and consultant hours devoted to the Western Corridor Study pursuant to SJR 35 during the first year; and a list of all Task Force expenditures and all meetings attended by Task Force staff or consultants related to the Western Transportation Corridor Study during the first year. After July 1, 1997, no resources of the Washington Airports Task Force shall be used to promote, sponsor, or participate in the Western Transportation Corridor Study.


B. The Department of Aviation shall assist the Newport News Blue Ribbon Commission as it develops and carries out plans for the area's aviation needs.
