Authority: Article VI, §§ 1 through 6, Constitution of Virginia; Title 17, Chapter 3 and § 19.2-163, Code of Virginia.

A. Out of the amounts for Appellate Review shall be paid:

1. The annual salary of the Chief Justice, $114,473 from July 1, 1996, to November 30, 1996, $119,453 from December 1, 1996, to November 24, 1997, and $124,231 from November 25, 1997, to June 30, 1998.

2. The annual salaries of the six (6) Associate Justices, each at $107,373 from July 1, 1996, to November 30, 1996, $112,044 from December 1, 1996, to November 24, 1997, and $116,526 from November 25, 1997, to June 30, 1998.

3. To each justice, $6,500 the first year and $6,500 the second year, in lieu of travel, lodging, and all other expenses incurred incident to the conduct of the business of the Court.

B. There is hereby reappropriated the unexpended balance remaining at the close of business on June 30, 1996, in the appropriation made in Item 24, Chapter 853, Acts of Assembly of 1995, in the subprogram Other Court Costs and Allowances (Criminal Fund) and the balance remaining in this subprogram on June 30, 1997.
