"Q. The Director, Department of Planning and Budget, shall transfer from this Item $10,000,000 the second year from the general fund to Item 489 to support the deposit to the Mass Violence Care Fund established by House Bill 1711, 2025 Session of the General Assembly."



Explanation

(This amendment transfers $10.0 million GF the second year to the Workers' Compensation Commission to be deposited to the Mass Violence Care Fund proposed to be established by House Bill 1711, introduced in the 2025 Session, pursuant to a companion amendment in Item 489. The $10.0 million appropriation was first provided in Chapter 1, 2023 Acts of Assembly, Special Session I, for victims of mass violence and was unallotted pending a workgroup report from the Department of Criminal Justice Services and adoption by the General Assembly of a structure for administering the funds.)
