Explanation

(This amendment provides $150,000 from the general fund and $150,000 from nongeneral funds the second year for the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), in consultation with the appropriate stakeholders, to develop a housing benefit to cover the cost of tenancy and one-time housing assistance as well as clinical services targeted to those with serious mental illness. With the help of a contractor, DMAS would prepare an 1115 demonstration waiver, recommend Medicaid rates for needed support services, and report to the Behavioral Health Commission by November 1, 2025. This is a recommendation of the Behavioral Health Commission.)
