(This amendment provides $3.5 million GF the first year for a short-term program to infuse the workforce with Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to bolster the long-term care workforce and specifically improve quality of care in Virginia nursing homes. The program would be administered by the Virginia Community College System and make no-cost training available to anyone who wants to become a CNA in VA. The goal of the program would be to produce at least 1,000 CNAs using the one-time funds.)
