"Q. Out of this appropriation, $8,098,486 the second year from the general fund and $10,081,714 the second year from the nongeneral fund is provided to effectuate the provisions of House Bill 1928 of the 2025 General Assembly Session. Out of the amounts provided in this paragraph, rhe Director of the Department of Planning and Budget shall distribute $4,832,365 from the general fund and $5,661,321 from the nongeneral fund to the Department of Medical Assistance Services to support increases to the minimum wage for personal care services, and $185,234 from the general fund to the Compensation Board to support support increases to the minimum wage for state supported constitutional officers. The remaining amounts in this paragraph shall be distributed to state agencies to increases to the minimum wage for state personnel."



Explanation

(This amendment provides $8.1 million form the general fund and $10.1 million from the nongeneral fund to support increases to the state's minimum wage to $13.50 an hour starting January 1, 2026.)
