Explanation

(This amendment provides $72,780 the second year from the general fund to cover the costs incurred from waiving the vital records fee for youth experiencing homeless as pursuant to House Bill 1617 of the 2025 General Assembly Session. There is a companion amendment in the Department of Motor Vehicles for $60,000 to also waive fees for acquiring state identification cards and other vital documents.)
