"§2-7.01 DEPARTMENT OF MINES, MINERALS AND ENERGY (409)
C-15.01. The Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, with the approval of the Governor as otherwise provided by law, is authorized to convey title to Wise County, at no cost to the county, certain real property and improvements thereto, described generally as 210 Wood Avenue, Big Stone Gap, Virginia, provided, however, that the terms of said conveyance shall require that should Wise County at any time in the future cease using the property for municipal purposes, title shall revert to the Commonwealth."
Explanation
(This amendment provides authority for the Governor to convey title to certain property including a 35-year-old one-story office building in Big Stone Gap, which was formerly occupied by the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, and which has been vacant for the past three years. The county plans to relocate the Lonesome Pine Office on Youth to the facility.)
