                (XXXXX)                                              $800,000
                Fund Sources:  General                           $800,000
Prior to the initiation of this project, the Departments of Conservation and Recreation and Forestry shall submit to the Department of Planning and Budget a joint plan to dispose of the sediment dredged from the lake.  Any cost savings resulting from disposing of the sediment on property owned by either agency shall revert to the general fund.".

Explanation
(This amendment provides $800,000 from the general fund for the Department of Conservation and Recreation to implement the final report of the Bear Creek Lake Watershed Study. The study documented that almost 40 percent of the 40-acre lake is no longer suitable for recreation because of the build-up of sediment over 60 years. The funds will be used to dredge the lake to its original contours and to dispose of the silt.)
