Explanation
(This amendment reduces the appropriation for the LEADER program by $1,000,000 and 30.0 FTE positions each year from the general fund. With this adjustment, Senate Bill 30, as engrossed, will include an additional $1,257,446 the first year, $1,416,608 the second year, and 33.0 FTE positions from the general fund to expand this program. The intent of this amendment is to expand the LEADER program gradually, while the program is being evaluated. A companion amendment to Item 16 directs JLARC to conduct an evaluation of this program.)
