Explanation
(This amendment restores service funding for Piedmont Geriatric Hospital. Companion amendments in Items 335 and 385 restore Medicaid, general fund and special fund appropriations to Piedmont. These amendments reverse the proposed actions in the introduced budget to transfer 229 geriatric patients from state hospitals to nursing homes, including closure of Piedmont by July 1, 1999.)
