Explanation
(This amendment provides $74,600 the first year and $41,000 the second year from the general fund, and 0.5 FTE positions, to provide public defender services in Patrick County by expanding the Public Defender office currently serving the City of Martinsville and Henry County. A companion amendment to Item 29 reduces the Criminal Fund by the expected savings resulting from expansion of this office. These amendments are contingent upon final passage of Senate Bill 263.)
