  "3.  Scholarships, internships, and graduate assistantships for students from first generation, low income, or underrepresented groups in the disciplines of the  colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Forestry and Wildlife Resources, Human Resources and Education, and Veterinary Medicine, $220,000 in each year.  Administration of the program resides in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences."

(This amendment expands a program which provides scholarships for undergraduate students, assistantships for graduate students, and funds to partially support an undergraduate and graduate summer research internship program focused on the recruitment and retention of highly qualified underrepresented students in the Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences and related sciences programs at Virginia Tech. Funding of $145,000 each year is currently provided for the program in the budget of Virginia Tech.)
