Page 138, after line 55 insert:
"N. The Commonwealth of Virginia is hereby authorized to convey by lease with the approval of the Governor and in a form approved by the Attorney General, to the Town of Saltville, certain property held by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, consisting of 64.08 acres of real property with an appraised value of $64,500 currently in use by the Town of Saltville and the Museum of the Middle Appalachians for educational, historical, cultural, or public purposes.  The lease shall require that the property be maintained and used solely for educational, historical, cultural or public purposes.  If these conditions are not met, ownership and control of the property shall revert to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, provided that for a period of twenty years from the enactment of this section, the Town of Saltville may purchase said property from the Commonwealth at the appraised value."

(This amendment provides for the transfer of property held by Virginia Tech that previously served as the Geology Field Camp to a museum based in Saltville. The museum will use the property to support educational programs, prepare exhibits, restore collections, and for storage.)
