Language Page 168, after line 29, insert: "§3-3.06 PAYMENT FOR AVTEX FIBERS SITEAmounts received in settlement of a lawsuit related to the Avtex Fibers Superfund site, estimated at $1,082,000 in the second year, shall be deposited to the Virginia Environmental Emergency Response Fund at $174,168 and to the general fund at $907,832 to reimburse the Commonwealth for expenditures incurred in prior years related to this site."
Explanation(This amendment adds language to Part III transfers. When the environmental clean-up of the Avtex site was initially begun by the Commonwealth, it was funded from the Solid and Hazardous Waste Contingency Fund and the general fund. Accordingly, the additional revenue collected in this fiscal year (1998) from settlement of the lawsuit will be deposited into the two funds.)
