Page 267, following line 37, insert:
"The Department of Criminal Justice Services shall review the impact of "Weed and Seed" programs funded to date. The review shall give particular attention to the longitudinal effect of the program in reducing the overall rates of crime in the jurisdictions where the program has been implemented.  An interim report shall be presented to the Chairmen of the Senate Finance and House Appropriations Committee by October 15, 1998, with a final report by July 1, 1999."
