Explanation
(This amendment removes one general fund position and reduces the general fund appropriation for the Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Department by $45,678 the first year and $48,020 the second year. The funds were intended to help other agencies administer Water Quality Improvement Fund grants. A companion amendment transfers the savings to the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). DCR is designated by statute as the lead state agency for determining the appropriateness of any grant related to nonpoint source pollution to be made from the Water Quality Improvement Fund.)
