"Q.  The State Plan for Medical Assistance shall be amended to expand coverage of school-based health services for children with special education needs to include psychiatric or psychological evaluations and psychotherapy services provided by Medicaid-qualified providers and Board of Education licensed school psychologists, if identified in the Individualized Education Program as necessary."

Explanation
(This amendment expands services for children with special education needs to include psychiatric and psychological services already provided by school divisions. This practice is consistent with other school-based services reimbursed by Medicaid for children with special education needs. The amendment includes the increase in nongeneral funds from the federal share attributable to the expansion of Medicaid coverage. No additional general funds are required, since the state and local school divisions already pay for those services.)
