Explanation
(This amendment provides $25,000 the first year from the general fund for the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Status and Needs of African-American Males in Virginia. These funds will enable the Joint Subcommittee to collaborate with the City of Richmond Police Department and other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to conduct a statewide conference on criminal justice and violence issues facing African-Americans in the Commonwealth. This amendment is contingent upon passage of Senate Joint Resolution 88.)
