Page 19, after line 44 insert:
" Out of the amounts in this Item shall be provided $359,029 from the general fund in the second year in order to provide a salary adjustment for Magistrates in levels I, II, III, and IV.  The salary adjustment shall be implemented effective November 25, 1999."

Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to the Magistrate System to increase salaries for magistrates in classifications I ,II, III, and IV, so that the salaries will be proportional, based on the hours worked, to a full-time Magistrate V.)
