Out of this appropriation shall be established the fund authorized by § 30-19.1:4, Code of Virginia, referred to as the Corrections Special Reserve Fund, to provide funds for the estimated increase in prison operating costs of Chapters 755 and 914 ($5,382,720), Chapter 527 ($125,000), and Chapter 913 ($250,000), 1996 Regular Session, and House Bill 157 ($375,000), House Bill 1889 ($125,500), House Bill 1911 ($62,500), and Senate Bill 746 ($62,500), 1997 Regular Session, which will result in a net increase in periods of imprisonment in adult state correctional facilities. This appropriation includes $5,757,720 the first year and $625,500 the second year from the general fund which shall be paid into the Corrections Special Reserve Fund.
