Authority: Title 2.1, Chapter 5.1, and § 2.1-51.10:1, Code of Virginia.

A. The Office of the Secretary of Natural Resources shall provide staff support for the Recycling Markets Development Council for at least four meetings annually.

B. Agencies in the Natural Resources Secretariat shall maximize available federal funds for the acquisition and development of lands for use as state wildlife management areas, fishing lakes and water access areas, state parks, natural areas and other natural resource preservation purposes. Available federal funds shall be used to leverage such other funds as may be available for these purposes from general and nongeneral fund sources, general obligation and other bond proceeds and private grants and donations. The Secretary of Natural Resources shall provide quarterly reports on efforts to maximize federal funds for these purposes, including a list of all available federal program sources, to the Chairmen of the House Committees on Appropriations and Conservation and Natural Resources, and Senate Committees on Finance and Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources.
