A. The treasury loan authorization contained in Item 338, Paragraph 1, of Chapter 853 of the 1995 Acts of Assembly for an integrated human resource information system is hereby continued under the same terms and conditions.
B. The Department shall seek proposals for privatization as well as state ownership and operation of a statewide integrated human resource information system. The Department may request proposals for any or all of the following: purchase, modification, and installation of application software; purchase and installation of any required local area network hardware and software; system testing and conversion; training; ongoing maintenance and support of the software; and ongoing maintenance and operation of the system. The Department's review of proposals shall consider funding requirements of privatization versus state operation.
