A. Not later than October 1, 1996, the Secretary of Administration, with the cooperation of the Secretaries of Education and Finance, shall submit a report to the Chairmen of the House Appropriations and Senate Finance Committees regarding progress on implementing the recommendations contained in the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission's report on the Capital Outlay Process in Institutions of Higher Education.
B. Out of the appropriation in Item 86, an amount not to exceed $142,900 in the second year from the general fund shall be used to fund the salary and support costs of a contracted position to report to the Secretary of Administration to serve as the project leader for the century date change project.
C. Out of the appropriation in Item 86, an amount not to exceed $389,956 in the second year from the general fund shall be used to fund the salary and support costs of the Century Date Change Initiative Project Office. The Project Office shall report directly to the Secretary of Administration and serve as the authorized coordinator for the Century Date Change Initiative.
