Authority: Article V, §§ 13, 14, and 16, Constitution of Virginia.
Out of the amounts for General Management and Direction shall be paid:
1. The salary of the Lieutenant Governor, $32,000 the first year and $32,000 per year from July 1, 1996 to January 16, 1998, and $36,321 per year from January 17, 1998 to June 30, 1998;
2. Expenses of the Lieutenant Governor during sessions of the General Assembly on the same basis as for the members of the General Assembly;
3. Expenses of the Lieutenant Governor not otherwise reimbursed, on the same basis as specified in Item 1, Paragraph A. 4., of this act for the Speaker of the House;
4. Compensation of one or more secretaries of the Lieutenant Governor, on the same basis as specified in Item 1, Paragraph A. 5.a., of this act for the Speaker of the House; and
5. Compensation of one or more administrative assistants of the Lieutenant Governor, on the same basis as specified in Item 1, Paragraph A.5.b., of this act for the Speaker of the House.
