"M. Out of this appropriation, $120,000 the first year and $300,000 the second year from the general fund shall be provided to the Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services to contract with an approved Supplier on the VITA Information Technology Contingent Labor Program managed by the Computer Aid Incorporation to develop and execute a comprehensive assessment of brain injury providers' current and future needs for a new VITA-approved Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform or Electronic Health Record (EHR) and to identify and articulate demonstrated future business and data needs, identify outcomes and outputs to demonstrate client and system success, and demonstrate how a new vision will benefit clients, caregivers, providers, DARS, stakeholders, and the General Assembly."

Explanation

(This amendment provides $120,000 GF the first year and $300,000 GF the second year to modernize the brain injury data collection system. The current client management system for state funded brain injury is outdated and no longer meets the service needs of the providers or the reporting requirements of the Commonwealth.)
