Explanation
(This amendment provides $2.5 million NGF each year to the Marine Resources Commission from boat titling and registration fees related to boats registered in Tidewater and from the HB 38 (1998) sales tax revenues related to saltwater fishing. Out of these funds, $1.2 million the first year is provided for a survey of menhaden populations and the balance is provided to restore prior-year budget reductions for Marine Law Enforcement. Companion amendments to Item 368 and Item 369 transfer the funding from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.)
