(This amendment provides $900,000 GF the first year to Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute (NVMHI) to prevent the closure of 13 beds at the facility. One-time funding is designed to allow for the development of a plan to ensure alternative, community-based services are available prior to the closure of these beds. A companion amendment to Item 315 provides $900,000 GF the second year for community-based mental health services in the catchment area served by NVMHI to reduce the need for placement in the state facility.)
