Explanation
(This amendment provides additional funding for the Virtual Virginia Program in order to increase the number of course sections offered and to develop additional course offerings. The program has reached capacity and the number of students statewide that can access the program is limited. Making more resources available for eligible students to take Advanced Placement courses, for which they can receive college credit, is consistent with the Governor's initiatives to have more college degrees awarded and have students complete college at a faster pace.)
