Explanation
(This amendment provides the agency with an additional four positions. The nongeneral fund appropriation is increased by $502,000 to account for these positions, as well as funding to support the use of wage employees and reorganization during seasons of heavy workload. These actions were approved by the Virginia College Savings Plan Board in August, 2011. The positions and appropriation are necessary to handle increased workloads related to the growth in the 529 savings plans and the agency's initiatives to strengthen customer service, data security, disaster recovery, and data management.)
