"g. To increase penalties for the failure of gun show vendors to obtain verification from a licensed firearms dealer that prospective purchasers are not prohibiting from possessing a firearm under state or federal law -- $50,000."

Explanation
(This amendment provides funding for the correctional bed impact associated with House Bill 364, which requires that gun show vendors would be required to obtain verification from a licensed firearm dealer that a prospective purchaser is not prohibited from possessing a firearm under state or federal law. The penalties included in the bill parallel existing penalties for licensed dealers and their prospective firearm buyers, including: making material false statements (Class 5 felony), willfully and intentionally selling, renting, trading, or transferring a firearm (Class 6 felony), and willfully and intentionally requesting or obtaining criminal history information under false pretenses or unlawfully disseminating criminal history information (Class 2 misdemeanor). The proceeds of the correctional bed impact funding is deposited into Corrections Special Reserve Fund, § 30-19.1:4, Code of Virginia.)
