A. Out of this appropriation, $48,850,629 and 38 positions the first year, and $48,850,629 and 38 positions the second year from nongeneral funds is provided for the administration and implementation of workforce development programs as part of the federal Workforce Investment Act.
B. Out of this appropriation, $5,000,000 the first year and $5,000,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to support non-credit courses at Virginia's Community Colleges that enhance workforce development. As recommended by the Governor's Commission on Economic Development and Jobs Creation, this funding is intended to help bolster the Commonwealth's commitment to provide strong workforce training and development programs. This funding will be utilized based on final recommendations of the commission and the Special Advisor to the Governor for Workforce Development.
