A. Out of the amounts for General Management and Direction, the Librarian of Virginia is authorized to expend from special funds amounts not to exceed $5,000 the first year and $5,000 the second year for entertainment and promotional expenses commonly borne by businesses. Such expenses shall be recorded separately by the agency.


B. Proceeds from The Library of Virginia's sale or transfer of existing architecturally significant furniture that will not be used in the new Library of Virginia facility shall be paid to the Library of Virginia Foundation for the sole purpose of acquiring historically significant books and manuscripts relating to Virginia history.


C. It is the intent of the General Assembly that The Library of Virginia be authorized to fill all positions authorized in this act, and all part-time (wage) positions funded in this act, notwithstanding § 4-7.01 of this act.
