§ 3-3.04 PAYMENT FROM IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION SERVICE
All payments received by the Department of Corrections from the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service for housing illegal aliens and other prisoners shall be deposited directly into the general fund consistent with § 4-2.02 a 1 g) of this act. The estimated amount of the payment to be received during each year is $3,425,013.
§3-3.05 PAYMENTS FOR USE OF VIRGINIA PENINSULA WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT THOMAS NELSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE
a. Beginning in the second year, Thomas Nelson Community College shall deposit to the general fund an amount not to exceed $210,000 each year, representing the match to be paid to the College by participating localities in the College’s service area of one-third of the construction costs of the proportionate share of the space (approximately 40%) to be used by the College within the capital project facility authorized in Item C-9.10 of HB/SB 29 (2000) and titled “Virginia Peninsula Workforce Development Center.” Such matching funds shall be paid annually for a period of twenty years and shall be an offset to the debt service on the bonds issued by the Virginia College Building Authority for construction of the project.
b. Beginning in the second year, Thomas Nelson Community College shall deposit to the general fund an amount estimated at $490,000 each year, representing lease payments made by other institutions of higher education and other agencies for the remaining space (approximately 60%) leased to them for the purpose of promoting workforce development on the Peninsula. Such lease payments shall be so deposited annually for the first twenty years and shall be an offset to the debt service on the bonds issued by the Virginia College Building Authority for construction of the project. The remaining lease payments shall be retained by the State Board for Community Colleges for operating, maintenance and repair costs of the above facility.
