A.1. It is the intent of the General Assembly that any acquisitions by gift, transfer or purchase, be limited to in-holdings or contiguous properties, consistent with the authorization contained in Item 363 and be limited to property within or contiguous to Caledon, Clinch River, Culpeper Battlefields, Fairy Stone, False Cape, Grayson Highlands, Hayfields, High Bridge Trail, Hungry Mother, James River, Kiptopeke, Leesylvania, Machicomoco, Mayo River, Middle Peninsula, Natural Bridge, Natural Tunnel, New River Trail, Sailor's Creek Battlefield, Seven Bends, Shenandoah River, Southwest Virginia Museum, Staunton River, Staunton River Battlefield, Sweet Run, Westmoreland, Widewater, Wilderness Road, and York River state parks.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of this paragraph and of Item 363, paragraph E, of this act, the department is authorized to acquire parcels located on Powell Mountain, north of the Town of Duffield, to connect to the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center at Natural Tunnel State Park."
