Explanation

(This amendment provides an additional $1.0 million GF each year for the Jail Mental Health Pilot Program and directs the Department of Criminal Justice Services to identify additional grantees in consultation with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. In addition, language discontinues the model addiction recovery program and transfers the $153,600 GF each year for the model addiction recovery program to the Jail Mental Health Pilot Program. The actions combined bring the Pilot Program total to $3.2 million GF each year. This is a recommendation of members of the Joint Commission on Health Care.)
