Explanation

(This amendment provides $2.3 million GF each year to Families Forward Virginia for the Comprehensive Health Investment Project (CHIP) of Virginia which promotes healthy pregnancies, school readiness and family self-sufficiency for Virginia’s low-income families through integrated teams of registered nurses and parent educators. Funding provided in this paragraph shall be used to serve 350 additional families and conduct the research required to meet federal evidence-based standards and to support potential future eligibility for federal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) funding.
