Explanation

(This amendment provides $11.4 million GF the second year to increase funding for Aid to Localities with Police Departments (599 Program), for a total appropriation of $241.0 million in FY 2026. The amounts align with the requirement in § 9.1-169, Code of Virginia, that the year-over-year percentage change in 599 Program funding should equal the anticipated percentage change of general revenue collections in the appropriation act.)
