"GG. Out of this appropriation, $800,000 the second year from the general fund shall be provided to Planned Parenthood to provide preventative and primary care health services to low-income Virginians."

Explanation

(This amendment provides $800,000 GF the second year to make up for loss of Medicaid funding from H.R. 1 (P.L. Law 119-21), signed into law on July 4, 2025, which prohibited certain providers of abortion services, including Planned Parenthood, from receiving federal Medicaid funding for one year (until July 4, 2026). The funding will be used to provide preventive and primary care health services to low-income Virginians.)
